Territorio de Zaguates(Territory of the Street Dogs) is a paradise for dogs in Costa Rica.


The advertising Agency GarnierBBDO have made a great advertising campaign for Territorio de Zaguates, helping the organisation to increase dogs adoptions by 1,400%! 

What is Territorio de Zaguates?
 It is an organisation that dedicates itself to the rescue dogs that unfortunately have abandoned. Despite the great job this organisation is doing, they have been facing a sad problem, Mix Bread Dogs adoptions are few, as people prefer Pure Breed Dogs. To solve this problem that is affliction millions of shelters, Territorio de Zaguates came up with a brilliant idea: Unique Breeds.

The idea is simple but effective; The organisation's idea is that mix breed dogs are unique and they have their own breed. Canine experts have scientifically proved that some dogs have peculiar characteristic that cannot be found in any other breed. This aspect makes the dogs special, unique and changed people's perception about the value of these beautiful animals.


That's the case of the Chubby-Tailed German Dobernauzer, an unique breed that only exists in Costa Rica.

 Or the Alaskan Collie FluffyTerrier, one of the most liked dogs on Territorio de Zaguates's facebook page.


Now these Mutts are getting noticed and people understand that the value of a dogs goes well beyond the price tag they have. They unexpected fame derived from this great idea leaded to the creation dog shows, art exhibition and so on.

After 45 days of promotional campaign the results where incredible.

"What The Internet Thinks About Women" UN ad campaign


UN Women powerful message

UN Women have released an earth shaking series of advertisements portraying four women with their mouths covered with some auto-complete suggestion offered by Google’s search engine. The World famous engine is use to reveal the sadly prevalence of sexism and discrimination against woman, on the web.



Memac Ogilvy & Mather Dubai, is the Advertising agency behind this powerful campaign.



The idea developed places the text of the Google searches over the mouths of women portraits, as if to silence their voices. 

“When we came across these searches, we were shocked by how negative they were and decided we had to do something with them,” says Christopher Hunt, Art Director of the creative team.

 “The ads are shocking because they show just how far we still have to go to achieve gender equality. They are a wake up call, and we hope that the message will travel far,” adds Kareem Shuhaibar, copy writer.


  
For UN Women, the searches confirm the urgent need to continue making the case for women’s rights, empowerment and equality, a cause the organization is pursuing around the world. UN Women is heartened by the initial strong reaction to the ads and hopes they will spark constructive dialogue globally.
